The Federal Way Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Merle Pfeifer is the Volunteer of the Year. “It is an honor to give this award to someone who is so passionate about small businesses and our community,” stated Tom Pierson, CEO of the Federal Way Chamber. Pfeifer is involved in several volunteer activities including an automotive program for high school students, encouraging small businesses to participate in the Chamber, assisting with the Safe City Federal Way program, helping to secure a grant so police can reduce auto theft, and more. At a local level, he is the current President of Pierce County ASA Unit.
