HomeGoods makes its debut in Washington state this weekend.

The national home furnishings chain will open at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 24, in Lynnwood and Federal Way.

The Federal Way store is at the Seatac Village Shopping Center, 1718 S. 320th St., in the former Linens ‘n Things building near Trader Joe’s. The Lynnwood store is located in Alderwood Plaza, at 184th Street and 33rd Avenue West. Both stores are expected to employ 60 full- and part-time employees each.

HomeGoods features discounted high-quality merchandise that includes furniture, lamps, picture frames, pillows, kitchenware and seasonal home decor. The store calls itself an “off-price retailer” with an ever-changing selection that caters to every room in the home.

HomeGoods frequently sources items from around the world, such as a display at the Federal Way store of imported soapstone figures from India. The retailer also appeals to shoppers who consider themselves treasure hunters.

On June 24, the stores will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The first 1,000 shoppers at both locations will receive a free reusable HomeGoods shopping bag.

Regular store hours are 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

HomeGoods operates more than 380 stores nationwide and is part of the TJX Companies, which owns T.J. Maxx and Marshalls. To learn more, visit www.homegoods.com.
