Papa Murphy’s announced that 95 stores located in the Puget Sound area are teaming with Northwest Harvest for a food drive during the month of August. Those interested in participating can bring canned goods, or “shelf-stable” foods to their local Papa Murphy’s pizza store to help those in need.

If a donation is made to the food drive, Papa Murphy’s will knock an additional dollar off a pizza order, on top of any other discounts associated with the pizza, according to the release.

Todd Mulvahill, an owner of a Puget Sound area Papa Murphy’s and a member of a local co-op, says the food drive is needed because of the state of today’s world.

“Hunger is a reality for many of our communities; they are your neighbor, co-worker, and may even be a friend,” Mulvahill said in a news release. “We are asking for your donations to help feed those in the community who don’t have enough money to provide nutritious meals for their families.”

Those interested in making a donation in Federal Way can visit the Papa Murphy’s located at 2154 336th St. Regional locations for Papa Murphy’s can be found by visiting www.papamurphys.com/StoreLocator.
