Dutch Bros. Coffee officially opened its new Federal Way area location April 12 with free drinks all day.

The drive-thru coffee shop with the cult following is located at 27525 Pacific Highway S. near the border of Federal Way and Des Moines, just south of 272nd Street. Customers have been lining up all morning for free coffee, which will be given away until 11 p.m. today.

Dutch Bros. is part of a privately-held company with about 290 locations in seven states, according to its website. The chain has a loyal customer base called the Dutch Mafia, who often display their Dutch Bros. fandom with decals on their vehicles.

The Greater Federal Way coffee shop is among a handful of Dutch Bros. locations in the region, joining sites in Renton and Thurston County.
