Bank robbed, dye pack discharged | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample of the Federal Way police log:

• Bank robbery: At 1:05 p.m. May 1 at 32303 Pacific Highway South, police responded to a bank robbery. The suspect was gone upon police arrival and escaped in a black four-door Cadillac. A dye pack was discharged and recovered during the robbery.

• Threatening police: At 1:42 a.m. May 1 at 17821 1st Ave. S., a woman was involuntarily committed after threatening officers and telling them “I have AIDS, TB, gonorrhea and herpes and I hope you catch it!” She also threw herself against a police car’s hood and hit her head on a center divider inside the vehicle. The woman appeared intoxicated.

• Ex-boyfriend gets violent: At 7:42 p.m. May 1 in the 27800 block of Pacific Highway South, a woman’s ex-boyfriend confronted her in a parking lot, grabbed her neck and shook her multiple times. He then allegedly keyed her vehicle.

• Stolen goods: At 6:49 p.m. May 1 in the 32300 block of 23rd Avenue South, a bike rack valued at $320 was stolen.

• Mischievious juveniles: At 10:05 a.m. May 1 at Dash Point Road and Pacific Highway South, police caught several juveniles jumping on the guard rails. One had an active warrant and another was a registered runaway.

• Stolen antique firearm: At 9:03 a.m. May 1 in the 32200 block of Pacific Highway South, a briefcase containing a 1924 Smith and Wesson five-shot revolver was stolen from a vehicle.

• Assault with a deadly weapon: At 3:10 a.m. May 1 in the 31000 block of 16th Place Southwest, police responded to a domestic assault. A man told police he pulled a knife on his brother in self-protection.

• Jewelry snatcher: At 3:41 p.m. May 2 in the 1400 block of South 303rd Street, about $10,000 worth of jewelry was stolen during a residential burglary. Some items were found in a neighbor’s residence.

• Bar assault: At 5:06 a.m. May 2 at 2012 S. 320th St., a victim reported he was punched in the face while at Cafe Arizona.

• Texting accident: At 12:48 a.m. May 2 at 35600 Pacific Highway S., police responded to a traffic incident in which one driver stated she collided with another driver while texting on her phone. There were no injuries.
