Federal Way Symphony: “Swing, Jazz and Blues” concert begins at 2 p.m. Feb. 6 at St. Luke’s church, 515 S. 312th St. Concert includes swing band director Todd Zimberg, woodwind player Eric Likkel and selections by Woody Herman and Joe Bishop, Artie Shaw, Tom Delaney, Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller. Keister and jazz: Whitmire Medical proudly presents “An Evening with John Keister” for the Decatur High School Big Band Showcase at 6 p.m. Feb. 12. This fundraising event will feature smooth sounds from the Decatur Jazz Band and antics from Keister as the emcee and auctioneer. The Decatur Band Boosters will host a dessert and silent auction, featuring donations from local businesses and individuals. Tickets are $10 and include a small dessert. Call (253) 945-2400.

Free jazz concert: Jazz LIVE featuring the Geoffrey Castle Trio will run 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Marine View Presbyterian Church, 8469 Eastside Drive Northeast, Tacoma. Castle is an electric six-string violinist who fearlessly brings the violin back to center stage with his virtuoso showmanship and 21st century attitude.
