• New inductee in the Stupid Criminal Hall of Fame: At 3:56 p.m. May 6 in the 35000 block of 21st Avenue SW, a woman entered a store and stole a drill by concealing it in the undercarriage of her baby stroller. According to the report, police were able to locate her because she had signed up for a drawing at the store, and provided her name and address as part of her entry.
• Another inductee in the Stupid Criminal Hall of Fame: At 12:12 a.m. May 4 in the 1100 block of South 348th Street, police responded to a welfare check of a man laying on the sidewalk. According to the report, when police spoke with the man, he said he was waiting for a bus, although he was not at a bus stop. A check of the man’s name came back with an outstanding warrant from Burien, and the man was arrested and taken to the SCORE jail.
• Forged prescriptions: At 2:53 p.m. May 4 in the 2100 block of SW 336th Street, a woman was caught attempting to pass off a forged prescription form. According to the report, the woman was using the info for her ex-husband, a doctor, and admitted to such after being caught.
• Meth addicts work on car in parking lot: At 9:38 p.m. May 4 in the 34000 block of 16th Avenue South, it was reported that two men appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine in a store parking lot. According to the report, the two were working on a vehicle in a store parking lot. Upon arrival, police were able to easily see paraphernalia for injecting meth inside the vehicle, and arrested the two men.
• At least he didn’t wake up in a bathtub full of ice: At 11:16 a.m. May 5 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, a man reported that a number of his belongings had gone missing, including his wallet and other personal effects. According to the report, the man had been cited and released for a DUI the night before. The man said he had attempted to find a cab home. Instead, according to the report, the man woke up in an unknown vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel in Kent, with a receipt for a room at the hotel.
• Random assault: At 12:16 p.m. May 5 in the 28000 block of Military Road South, the victim was walking home when he was approached by two males. According to the report, the two males demanded the victim’s phone and necklace. The victim refused, at which point one of the men restrained him, while the other repeatedly punched him in the face and head. According to the report, the victim was mildly concussed and required treatment at St. Francis Hospital.
• Man flashes gun over driving incident: At 1:06 a.m. May 6 in the 2000 block of SW Campus Drive, a man reported that an unknown male had flashed a firearm at him after they got into a dispute over a driving incident. According to the report, a police check of the area was unable to locate the unknown suspect.
• Friend’s theft earns man a beating: At 2:22 a.m. May 6 in the 35000 block of 21st Avenue SW, a man was assaulted by a group of five men. According to the report, the victim believed he was targeted because a friend of his had stolen a jacket from a member of the group recently.
• Hit-and-run suspect flees on foot: At 5:44 a.m. May 6, a woman reported that an unknown suspect had crashed into her car. According to the woman, the unknown male suspect then fled on foot after the crash. A check of the vehicle showed it was stolen.
• Family fears overdose: At 11:32 a.m. May 6 in the 28000 block of Pacific Highway South, a family reported that one family member may have overdosed. According to the family, the suspect admitted to taking ecstasy. Upon arrival, police discovered four small blue pills in the man’s pockets. The man was then transported to St. Francis Hospital for further treatment.
