I have known Roger long enough to know the kind of man he is and he is a man of integrity, truthfulness, caring and compassionate, unbiased, and honorable in his commitment to family, friends, community and his employees respect him at his small business operation located here in Federal Way.
And that small business connection is exactly what we want in our next representative. Someone who has a full understanding what it takes to run and keep a company profitable. Roger has been in business now for over 34 years, no small feat in today’s economy. Roger Flygare understands completely the challenges to make payroll for employees and pay the taxes that are placed on today’s businesses. He is innovative and thoughtful while maintaining his costs low for his clients.
When his country called, he answered. Roger joined the U.S. Army and is a decorated Vietnam veteran. He’s a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is also a board member of the Association of Washington Generals, a non-profit organization which awards yearly the highly coveted Washingtonian Award to citizens for their integrity, community service, and volunteerism. He has also served on committees within the Department of Licensing over the years, GRCC and Bates Technical School.
He is also chair of the Law Enforcement Committee of the Federal Way Coalition Against Trafficking (FWCAT). For the 2102 legislative session, as legislative liaison for FWCAT working alongside WA Engage, he successfully helped push legislation forward addressing child pornography, measures addressing prostitution, etc., 12 bills in total. Over the years, and he has governors’ signature pens to prove it, he has helped promote successfully over 20 pieces of legislation that help business, the court system, and his profession as well.
When you look at the number of endorsements he has, which you can see at http://vote4rogerflygare.com/pages/87/endorsements, you will quickly see that he has the contacts necessary to carry out the business needed for the 30th Legislative District. He has been endorsed by Lt. Governor Owen, OSPI Superintendent Randy Dorn, Senator Eide, Rep. Mark Miloscia, as well as many other senators and representatives.
Roger has shared with me on numerous occasions that it is small business that is going to lead the recovery from our deep and troubling recession and I believe him. He makes a point that stands out for me and that is Microsoft at one time was a small business. We need to vote for Roger Flygare so that businesses will be represented in the legislature now more than ever. Among his priorities are: jobs, education, helping our returning veterans, and putting an end to homelessness.
