Victim assaulted with a 12-pack of beer | Federal Way crime blotter

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 9:21 p.m. Jan. 16 at 27202 Pacific Highway South, two suspects entered a business and removed beer from a display. They attempted to flee. A victim was assaulted with a 12-pack of beer over the head, when he or she tried to stop the suspects. The victim was also punched in the face. Both suspects were apprehended in Kent.

• At 7:57 a.m. Jan. 16 at 178 S.W. Campus Drive, a global positioning system valued at $150 was taken from a parked vehicle. A dog was inside the vehicle at the time. It was not injured.

• At 4:13 p.m. Jan. 16 in the 32200 block of Military Road South, a suspect pushed a victim to the floor following an argument about video games. The victim suffered a cut to the ear. An 8-year-old child witnessed the incident and the suspect was arrested for assault in the fourth degree and domestic violence.

• At 5:14 p.m. Jan. 16 at 32015 Pacific Highway S., a suspect was arrested outside Rite Aid for stealing a can of beer.

• At 8:44 p.m. Jan. 16 in the 2000 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a suspect threw a beer bottle at a victim and struck the person in the ear, causing pain and swelling. The suspect was arrested for a DUI, assault in the fourth degree and domestic violence.

• At 11:47 p.m. Jan. 16 on 18th Place Southwest, a female reported being sexually assaulted by her brother. The victim appeared extremely intoxicated and refused medical assistance.

• At 3:21 p.m. Jan. 17 at 29814 8th Ave. S., a victim found his or her parked car vandalized. Paint was scraped from the spoiler and hood. The rear window was shattered and the rear lights broken. A rock with paint matching the vehicle’s was found nearby.

• At 10:47 a.m. Jan. 17 at 3200 S.W. 340th St., a victim walking along the street was hit by a paper cup with soda in it. The cup was thrown from a vehicle. Nobody was injured.

• At 4:21 p.m. Jan. 17 at 34520 16th Ave. S., two suspects were detained by Wal-Mart personnel for shoplifting. During a search, methamphetamines were found on one suspect.

• At 5:40 p.m. Jan. 17 at 34701 Pacific Highway S., a person’s storage unit was broken into. Approximately $1,973 worth of tools and electronics were stolen.
