Making laws is like making sausage. You don’t ever want to see either one as it is being made.
Take the present situation in passing a health care bill in the Senate. It was messy and corrupt. There were six states whose senators were initially opposed to the bill. Senators from those states were bought off handsomely for their votes. For instance, Louisiana was given $300 million.
Both of our senators voted for this bill. I think it is only fair to ask the question, “What did our state get for your vote?” I think our state is just as good as Louisiana. Don’t you think we deserve just as much of a handout?
If our senators did not get a fair share for our state, then they should be voted out of office. They are not doing their job.
