When I read the article about Leticia Grandos in today’s Mirror, I was very saddened. There were so many negative statements made about her health, her time here on Earth, etc.
I, myself, refuse to accept the negative. There is an answer. There is a solution. Where do I find it? Ask empowering questions and you will find an answer.
I am reminded of Dr. David Yonggi Cho. When he was 19 years old, he was diagnosed as having incurable tuberculosis. He was told that he had three or, at the most, four months to live. The doctor told him to go home, eat anything he wanted and say goodbye to his family and friends. (Read his books on The Fourth Dimension.)
He went home and put up a three-month calendar on the wall. He had been raised a Buddhist and he daily prayed that Buddha would help him. Nothing changed. He grew continually worse.
He gave up his faith in Buddha and cried to the unknown God. A few days later, a high school girl visited him and began to talk about Jesus Christ. He had a problem accepting what she was telling him about Jesus. She came back day after day. He was not pleased with her insistence. She, however, did not run away in shame nor was she angry. She prayed out loud for him in his presence. She was crying and his heart was deeply touched. Through her love and tears he could feel the presence of God.
He began reading the Bible and came to an understanding of Jesus Christ. Jesus healed the sick. The ill and infirm came to him, and he healed all he touched. Faith began to grow in Yonggi’s heart. He began to hope that Jesus would heal him also.
Long story short: One testimony says that Yonggi began to declare out loud the scripture that “By the stripes of Jesus I have been healed” (Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24). Instead of dying in three months, he was out of his deathbed in six months.
He is not the only person who has had testimonies like this. “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 As others have declared this truth about healing they likewise have experienced it.
Dr. David Yonggi Cho, in Seoul, South Korea, is in his mid-70s and has the largest Christian church in the world! I know. I’ve been there.
The choice is up to us. We can accept the doctor’s diagnosis based on the natural results OR we can fight the good fight of faith and declare what God says about the situation. I choose to say what He says.
Oh, by the way, I turned 75 years old on Dec. 24, 2009. I don’t have any diseases. He is faithful in keeping me well.
I am so passionate about this issue that I have started a Healing Connect meeting at my home every Friday at 9:45 a.m. I share with people scriptures that confirm this is what God wants for them and I pray with them. I want them to overcome and walk in victory over sickness.
