There were two vehicle thefts, and four vehicles were recovered on this day.
Man and daughter assaulted: At about 9:50 p.m. in the 2000 block of S. 300th St., an officer was dispatched to a report of an assault where a man pushed and punched a man and his daughter. Ultimately no suspect information was discovered.
Jan. 1
There were zero vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Illegal discharge: At about 12:05 a.m. in the 17000 block of S. 281st Pl., there was a report of an illegal discharge. Officers were advised that 15 to 16 rapid gunshots were heard. Officers thought it may have been related to a domestic violence call, but it was found not to be the case. No shell casings were found in the area.
Jan. 2
There were three vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Found firearm: At about 10:35 a.m. in the 33000 block of 36th Ave. SW, the reporting party stated that they were remodeling their house, and they found a loaded Beretta PX4 handgun in the drop ceiling. The gun was loaded inside of a case with an additional loaded magazine and a U.S. $1 coin. The reporting party stated that it was not hers, and it did not belong to her last tenant either.
2,000 rounds stolen: At about 10:40 a.m. in the 32000 block of 20th Lane SW, there was a report that someone’s vehicle was broken into and about 2,000 rounds of 9mm and 10mm ammunition was stolen.
Home burglarized: At about 7:55 p.m. in the 32000 block of 11th Place S., a unit was burglarized by unknown suspects.

There were four vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Illegal discharge: At about 3:30 p.m. in the 100 block of S. 332nd Place, there was a report of an illegal discharge. Officers could not locate shell casings, but the reporting party then indicated where there were shell casings. The casings were taken. No damage to property was found.
Replica monkey stolen: At about 4 p.m. in the 29000 block of 11th Ave. SW, there was a report that someone’s mailbox had been pried open. The victim said that all that was stolen was junk mail and a $10 replica monkey.

There were three vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Burglary: At about 10:35 a.m. in the 200 block of SW 305th Street, there was a report of a burglary.
Fentanyl ingested: At about 3:35 p.m. in the 31000 block of Pete von Reichbauer Way S., officers contacted a female due to her having a camp set up on the property. Officers found that the woman also had a warrant, and when she was made aware that she was going to be put under arrest, she put her closed fist to her mouth and ingested a half gram of fentanyl in front of the officers.

There were five vehicle thefts, and six vehicles were recovered on this day.
Bullet defects and shell casings: At about 3:05 p.m. in the 32000 block of 10th Ave. S., there was a report that multiple shell casings were found in the driveway of a home. Upon arrival, officers observed multiple shell casings and bullet defects in the home. Officers conducted a safety sweep of the residence and confirmed no injured persons were inside. Over 10 shell casings were located, and two bullets were inside. A bullet fragment was also collected from the wall.
Person in stolen car flees: At about 3:40 p.m. in the 34000 block of 21st Ave. SW, an occupied stolen vehicle fled from police and struck a vehicle. Spikes were successful and the vehicle was recovered nearby.
Person ditches running car: At about 9:20 p.m. at 23rd Place S. and S. 288th Street, an officer initiated a traffic stop for the listed vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop, so the officer initiated their sirens. The vehicle began to come to a stop by pulling over, but the driver immediately exited the vehicle, and the car began rolling forward. The vehicle crashed into a parked car. The suspect then ran away, but was assisted to the ground by an officer. He was then placed into custody.

There were two vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Robbery with a knife: At about 3:20 p.m. in the 32000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., someone called to report that a student of his was robbed with a knife at about 2 p.m. Jan. 2. The victim suffered minor injuries on his arms and forearms. The victim stated that the male suspect was about 5’11”, wearing dark-colored clothing and a black face mask, but he was unable to articulate more details.
Shots fired at Costco: At about 9:55 p.m. in the 35000 block of Enchanted Pkwy. S., there was a report that a vehicle was firing shots at Costco.

There were five vehicle thefts, and six vehicles were recovered on this day.
Smoking narcotics while operating a vehicle: At about 11:35 a.m. in the 1000 block of S. 320th St., there was a report that an officer observed someone smoking narcotics from tin foil while operating a motor vehicle. The subsequent traffic stop and arrest revealed a significant amount of narcotics in the immediate control of the driver.
Student threat: At about 2:35 p.m. at a Federal Way school, an unknown student wrote “Shooting this up! Jan. 8 lmao” on a bathroom stall. There is no video footage or suspect information at this time.
