Federal Way Chorale Christmas concert: The FW Chorale presents “Yuletide: A Celebration of the Season in Song 2024” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and 4 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center, 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way South. The performance will feature a new work by the rising and already acclaimed composer Taylor Scott Davis, Magnificat. Federal Way Public Schools Board Meeting: 6 p.m. Dec. 17 at Todd Beamer High School, located at 35999 16th Ave. S. in Federal Way.

Senior Commission: Join the Senior Commission members and a special guest to enjoy a light lunch and stay involved and informed about issues related to the senior community in Federal Way. This monthly event is coming up on Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Federal Way Community Center.

Holiday Jam: Enjoy food, gifts, Santa photos, community resources and more at the Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander Community Holiday Jam from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 18 at 33710 9th Avenue South, Suite 8, in Federal Way.

ABBA Holly Jolly Christmas: Show begins at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center. Put on your Santa hat and bell-bottoms to celebrate the holidays with music inspired by the legendary pop group ABBA. Tickets at fwpaec.org.

Cookies With Mrs. Claus: Event runs 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St. Admission is $5. This event is perfect for children ages 2-10 and includes cookie decorating, photo opportunities, warm cocoa and festive music.

City/ Korean Community Quarterly Meeting: Thursday, December 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. City Hall, Council Chambers at 33325 8th Ave S in Federal Way.

Federal Way Cares for Kids: Mark your calendars for Dec. 21 to participate in this annual event. Parents will have the chance to “shop” for and wrap their children’s gifts while their children have a blast in our fun-filled kids zone. Snowflake Gala: African Young Dreamers Empowerment Program Intl. (AYDEPI) presents their annual Snowflake Gala from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 21 at 31611 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. in Federal Way. Featuring this year’s theme of “Unbreakable – Building emotional strength in at-risk youth,” this free event will feature food, games, raffles, music and more. The Nutcracker: Show is 4 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center. The show features the Grand Kyiv Ballet, including the most prestigious ballet dancers from Ukraine. In this classic tale, a young girl befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve.
