Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing again on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 3.
For those who find themselves with a lack of shelter tonight, emergency shelter at the Pete Andersen FUSION Family Center has been extended through Tuesday night after opening on Monday at 4 p.m. At least 14 cots are available at the center which is located at 1505 S. 328th St. in Federal Way.
The severe weather shelter is in partnership with the City of Federal Way and beds are first come, first serve. Dinner and breakfast will be provided.
Guests are welcome to bring pets if they are secured in a crate, and guests may not enter or exit after 10 p.m.
Single adults and families are welcome.
In addition to providing shelter during severe weather, the Pete Andersen FUSION Family Center provides shelter and professional support services to families through its 90 beds and holistic offerings designed to help families experiencing homelessness stabilize and thrive.
