There were five vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Carjacking: At about 5 p.m. in the 16000 block of S. 312th Street, someone reported to officers that they had been carjacked at gunpoint a month prior. The victim said the suspect took his cellphone and made approximately $12,000 in purchases and withdrawals from his cash app.
Man throws rock at business: At about 8 p.m. in the 35000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., the manager of a business reported that a man had thrown a rock at the establishment’s window, causing it to shatter, and then fled. There was no known suspect.
Tesla charger wires cut: At about 7 a.m. in the 2000 block of S. 320th Street, a man reported arriving at the job site and finding that 13 of the vehicle chargers had been cut and stolen. He said each cord is worth about $3,000. No other damage was reported.
Best Buy theft: At about 1:10 p.m., an associate at Best Buy was helping a customer who was buying a laptop. While doing the transaction, the associate reported that the man grabbed the laptop and ran away without paying.
Sept. 5
There were three vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Burglar caught red-handed: At about 1 a.m. in the 1900 block of S. 341st Pl., officers responded to a commercial burglary and found a person in a black mask with a duffle back slung over their shoulders. When the person saw officers, they dropped the duffle bag, then ran further into the building. The building was contained, and officers entered it. No further information was provided.
Assault with a knife: At about 5 p.m. in the 28000 block of Military Rd. S., officers contacted the victims, who reported that a female shoplifted merchandise and then pepper sprayed employees when confronted. The woman then entered the store, and when she was unable to get employees to release her, she pulled a knife and made threatening statements.
Stolen cars: At about 7:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. 308th St., employees called 911 to report four suspects who dropped off a stolen vehicle, but then stole a new vehicle. The stolen vehicle that was dropped off was possibly tied to numerous armed robberies in Seattle.
Sept. 6
There was one vehicle theft, and four vehicles were recovered on this day.
Sovereign citizen bills the mayor: At about 10 a.m. in the 900 block of SW 314th Place, a suspect who identified himself as a sovereign citizen contacted the mayor’s office via mail with documents stating that the mayor is responsible for payments on a vehicle. The payments totaled $270,000. Multiple documents were reviewed. None were legally binding or legitimate.
Man steals beer and flashes a gun: At about 12:35 p.m. in the 100 block of SW 312th Street, the reporting party stated that a male took a beer from the pallets being delivered. The reporting party stated that he went to confront the male about stealing the beer. The male then told the reporting party, “What are you going to do about it?” The man then raised his shirt to reveal a firearm in his waistband. The male then fled in a vehicle. The male was described as Hispanic and was wearing a white shirt and cargo shorts. The reporting party did not wish to assist with prosecution or be a victim. The case is set as closed.
Assault with a firearm: At about 12:40 p.m. in the 100 block of SW Campus Drive, there was a report filed of an assault with a firearm. No other details were given.
Strong-armed robbery and assault: At about 7:30 p.m. in the 32000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers were dispatched to what was initially a strong-armed robbery, but then officers established probable cause for assault because the victim had suffered a laceration to his lip. Officers located the suspect, whom the victim identified. The male was placed in custody and transported to King County Jail.
Illicit discharge: At about 8:30 p.m. in the 920 block of SW Campus Drive, residents of an apartment complex called 911 to report sounds of shots being fired in the parking lot. There were two subjects seen running away from the area, but they were not located. 14 fired cartridge casings were located, but there were no defects observed in the area.

Man throws rocks on overpass: At about 9:35 a.m. in the 2700 block of SW 320th Street, officers responded to reports of a male throwing rocks off the I-5 overpass. Probable cause was established for the reckless endangerment, and the male was arrested without incident.
Stolen vehicle pursuit: At about 5:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of SW 344th Street, officers pursued a stolen vehicle that was fleeing. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle was stopped. The driver and passenger were arrested.
Man tries to lure child with dog: At about 7:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of S. 312th Street, an adult male subject was reported to be watching children swim at Steel Lake Park and then attempting to lure them with a small dog.
Sept. 8
There were three vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Brass knuckles vs. firearm: At about 5:20 p.m. in the 35000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., the victim pulled into 7-Eleven to fill his tire with air, but some transient people were blocking the air pump, so he beeped at them and told them to move, and they did. But following that, the people went up to a nearby vehicle, and then two people exited the vehicle aggressively, and one of them had brass knuckles. The victim said he pulled out a pistol and pointed it at them to protect himself. After some bantering, the males fled before police arrival.

There were three vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Assaulted by four women: At about 6 p.m. in the 29000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., the victim made a report of being assaulted by four females in a parking lot. The victim stated that her phone was stolen during the assault by an unknown suspect.
Sept. 10
There were six vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Arson report: At about 9:15 a.m. in the 32000 block of 23rd Ave. S., officers were conducting area checks when they observed open flames on the ground in a grass area. No subjects were seen around the area. Area checks were conducted, but no suspects were located.
