Federal Way Symphony to host Summer Music Camp for youth

Federal Way Symphony’s Summer Music Camp is scheduled for July 11 to July 16. It is open to all instrument and vocal students entering grades 5 through 12 and is held at the Federal Way High School band and choir rooms.

Students should have a least one year of music instruction.Students will experience a week of instrumental training with professional Federal Way Symphony musicians Todd Zimberg and Lonnie Mardis and a master class with Maestro A. Brian Davenport. Tuition is $250 for the week with a $50 deposit due by June 30 and a balance of $200 due by July 8.  Marjorie Easley scholarships (full or half) are available for instrumental or voice students needing financial assistance. Classes run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 11-15. A showcase performance is scheduled for 11 a.m. July 16 at Federal Way High School.
