Around 4:30 a.m. May 20, a male was stabbed in Federal Way at a residence on Southwest Campus Drive.
As of May 21, the case was still being investigated, but information from Federal Way police and South King Fire report the victim was alive, suffering critical injuries.
According to Federal Way police, officers responded to the residence containing the victim and discovered a male covered in what appeared to be blood approach the front door and then exit. The officers administered aid to the victim and escorted the male to a covered parking lot.
According to the report, due to the nature of the call and the unknown number of victims, officers entered the residence from which the victim exited. Officers then conducted a high-risk stop of three males inside, who were then detained.
Two of the males were transported to the police station. One of the males then confessed to stabbing the victim. According to Brad Chaney of South King Fire, following the stabbing, the victim was transported to the local trauma center.
“Crews were dispatched to the location for reports of a possible stabbing. Crews staged while PD entered the scene. Once PD had secured the scene, crews entered to find one patient with potentially life-threatening injuries,” Chaney said. “Crews quickly treated the patient, and the patient was ultimately transported to the local trauma center by King County Medic One.”
