From Seale to Broadway and now back to the West Coast, “First Date, The Musical” has come home. When blind date newbie Aaron is set up with serial-dater Casey, a casual drink at a busy New York restaurant turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner. This show is the ideal night out with friends or a date of your own.
“First Date” is recommended for ages 16 and up due to occasional strong language and suggestive content. The show runs March 29 to April 21. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays.
This production features local actors Jessie Sellek as Casey, Richard Cubi as Aaron, Sophie Sen as The Waiter, Haunz Stroschein as Man #1, Rylie Latham as Woman #1, Mandela Gardener as Man #2, and Natalie Silva as Woman #2.
“First Date, The Musical” is written by Austin Winsberg, with music and lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner. This show is directed by the illustrious Jeanee Sanchez, partnering with Daniel Wolfert as music director, and Chandler Thomas as choreographer. Niclas Olson is the tech director and set designer, lighting by Shannon C. Miller, costumes by Krista Lynn Blonski, props by Gail Javarah Wamba, set dressing by Kiana Go, scenic design by Malene Hundley, and Evan Rees as sound board operator. Chelsea “Mo” Moniz serves as stage manager, with Theresa Byrd as assistant stage manager.
