Assault with firearm: At around 3 a.m., a suspect walked up to a car that his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend were sitting in and shot the boyfriend. He was transported to Harborview with a gunshot wound, and the suspect fled the scene.
Squatters: Two people were found living in an abandoned apartment near the 35700 block of 16th Avenue South.
Steering wheel lock failure: A vehicle was stolen sometime between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. near the 5100 block of Southwest 324th Place despite having a steering wheel lock.
Jan. 25
There were at least 2 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 3 vehicles were recovered.
Nonresidential burglary: At approximately 2 a.m., an officer arrived to a commercial alarm at a business located near the 33500 block of 21st Avenue Southwest. Two subjects are shown on video entering the business, then leaving in a truck moments later.
Vehicle collision: At approximately 11:40 a.m., an officer responded to a report of a car going down an embankment and colliding with a tree. The officer found a driver exiting the vehicle and identified a strong odor of alcohol, and turned over the suspect to Washington State Patrol as it occurred in their jurisdiction.
Vape robbery: Police responded to a report of a robbery around 11 a.m. at a gas station near the 2100 block of Southwest 356th Street. The suspect appeared to be a juvenile female who had entered the store with a knife and stole $250 to $300 worth of disposable vapes.
Parking lot dispute: A victim was punched in the face around 5:30 p.m. in a traffic dispute near the 1900 block of Southwest Campus Drive. The suspect’s license plate number was given to police and the victim identified the suspect immediately out of a photo lineup.
Jan. 26

11 narcotic or synthetic substance cases were logged on this day as part of an emphasis patrol on this day.
ATM theft: At approximately 1:30 a.m., an ATM was stolen with a yellow crane from a bank located near the 33600 Pacific Highway South. There is footage of the crane fleeing the scene with the ATM swinging in the air. The crane and mangled ATM were found in an abandoned parking lot.
Forklift ATM theft: At approximately 2 a.m., unknown suspects stole a large forklift, then used this large piece of equipment to uproot an ATM that was mounted to the concrete. Both were located during a foot patrol of a nearby empty lot around the 2000 block of South 341st Place.
Jan. 27
There were at least 3 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 1 vehicle was recovered.
Burglary of church: Sometime during the week between Sundays, a burglary occurred at the Star Lake Church of God. Officers cleared the church with no suspect.
Random shove: At approximately 11:45 a.m., a known suspect pushed two victims unprovoked near the 800 block of South 320th Street and left on foot.
Sports equipment stolen: A golf set, tennis set and pickleball set were all stolen sometime during the night from a vehicle parked near the 32600 block of 10th Place Southwest.
Jan. 28
There were at least 2 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 3 vehicles were recovered.
Arson: At approximately 1 a.m. police responded to assist with a call about a fire near Southwest 344th and 21st Avenue Southwest. A commercial truck cabin area was found unoccupied and engulfed in flames. The fire investigator determined the cause to be arson.
Strong-arm robbery: Officers responded to an assault at approximately 4 p.m. at the 1200 block of South 320th Street. They found a man laying on the ground and another man with a firearm in front of the location.
Jan. 29
There was at least 1 report of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 3 vehicles were recovered.
Officer spat on: Officers responded to reports of an assault at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a business near the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South. The victim identified the suspect for police and police placed the suspect under arrest, but the suspect spat in the officer’s eye while being searched.
Welfare check saves life: At approximately 1 a.m., police were dispatched for a welfare check on a woman who had been found face down in a bathtub with her face in the water and unresponsive. When officers arrived, they found that someone had already started giving her CPR. Two officers and Medic One personnel also gave her chest compressions and she eventually regained a pulse.
Nonresidential burglary: Officers were dispatched at approximately at 4 a.m. to a hardware store located near the 35400 block of 21st Avenue Southwest due to a commercial alarm. Investigation showed that it was a commercial burglary.
Jan. 30
There were at least 2 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 6 vehicles were recovered.
Lunch fraud: After purchasing lunch around 11 a.m., a victim reported that within 10 minutes of using their card they received 14 fraudulent charges.
Sexual assault at gas station: A manager at a gas station said around 3:45 p.m., an individual inside of the business used sexually derogatory statements and intentionally used the front of his body to touch the rear side of hers. The business is located near the 31800 block of Pacific Highway South.
Counterfeit money: A man reportedly attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase food around 3:15 p.m. The bill was taken into evidence by police.
