Nov. 8

There were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.

Determined Taco Bell burglars: Two unknown suspects attempted to enter a Taco bell on 348th Street around 3 a.m. using a chain and saw, but were unsuccessful. They then attempted to burglarize a second Taco Bell location in Fife.

Nov. 9

There were at least 7 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 4 vehicles were recovered.

Carjacking: Officers responded to assist Kent police with their apprehension of carjacking suspects around 7:30 p.m. near an apartment complex in Star Lake. Kent officers had pursued the suspects to Federal Way, and FWPD helped set up containment while officers located the suspects.

Nov. 10

There were at least 2 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 3 vehicles were recovered.

Gas station theft: A victim reported that at approximately 12:30 p.m., she was getting gas at a gas station on Pacific Highway South when a male entered the passenger side of her vehicle and stole her purse, then fled in a white vehicle.

Nov. 11

There were at least 7 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 2 vehicles were recovered.

Watery arrest: At approximately midnight, a male suspect drove his car partially into Lake Ponce de Leon near the 32100 block of 26th Avenue SW. He was then arrested for DUI.

Trespass: At approximately 5:30 a.m., police were called to respond to a report of an unknown man inside of the caller’s house near the 1200 block of South 336th Street. Upon arrival, they found that he was on the porch and ultimately advised him to seek shelter from the rain elsewhere.

Intoxicated incident: Officers contacted a female sometime between midnight and 5:30 a.m. who had torn clothes and apparent minor injuries who said that her friend had taken her car. She was contacted near the 30000 block of 20th Place Southwest and then said that she had been in a car crash with a friend, but could not remember where, and that they both had been drinking. She was taken to the hospital and the crash site was located.

Carjacking: At approximately 3:45 p.m. near the 31500 block of Pete Von Reichbauer Way South, a vehicle was taken by carjacking. The victim was pepper sprayed.

Weapons offense: A man was arrested around 7:40 p.m. near a business located on the 1900 block of South 314th Street for brandishing a weapon inside earlier.

Nov. 12

There were at least 3 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.

Arson of box truck: At around 7 a.m. near the 28700 block of Military Road South, officers were dispatched to assist the fire department with a box truck that was fully engulfed in flames.

Reckless burn: Police and the fire department responded to a fire around 7:30 p.m. behind a business located near the 2400 block of South 320th Street. The fire department determined that it was most likely a warming fire.

Nov. 13

There were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.

Drug-related death: Sometime between 6 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., a male was found unconscious by his father at a residence. CPR was given, but he was not able to be resuscitated. He was known to be a drug user and drug paraphernalia was found nearby.

Fire extinguisher arrest: A suspect was arrested after loitering at an apartment complex on Pacific Highway South and discharging a fire extinguisher, which created a hazardous situation.

Third arson at Sacajewea Park: Federal Way parks department reported the third arson at this location since Oct. 30. A principal recognized and identified the suspects.

Nov. 14

There were at least 3 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day

Residential burglary: At approximately 1:35 a.m., officers responded to a residential burglary in progress near the 31500 block of 23rd Avenue South. Officers arrived on scene, but the suspect was gone on arrival.

Double robbery: At approximately 3 p.m. near the 800 block of South 320th Street, two strong-arm robberies occurred at the same time. Suspects assaulted two victims and attempted to take their phones. They were unsuccessful and fled the scene in a car with no plates.

Knife assault: At approximately 5 p.m. near the 30800 block of 8th Avenue South, unknown suspects assaulted the victim and stole his phone. The suspect description is similar to other attempted robberies earlier in the day.
