Three Federal Way residents safely escaped a house fire early Tuesday morning in the 33700 block of 37th Avenue Southwest. The family dog, however, did not make it.
“We brought him out afterward, but he was dead,” said Lt. Jeff Bellinghausen, community affairs officer for South King Fire and Rescue.
The house sustained significant damage to the attic and roof, as well as the back section of the house. There was also significant water damage, Bellinghausen said. The fire was contained to the one house.
