Shoplifter arrested: A suspect was arrested at 2:45 p.m. for shoplifting at the Commons Mall.
Juvenile knife assault: At 7 p.m. in the 35700 block of 16th Avenue South, a juvenile victim reported that they were playing with friends when another juvenile approached them, started yelling and pushing the victim, and pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the hip.
Fire extinguisher assault: Three unknown juveniles fired a fire extinguisher through an open window around 2 p.m. at a residence off of Pacific Highway.
Property theft and assault: Around 9:30 p.m. at a gas station off of Pacific Highway, an unknown suspect attempted to shoplift merchandise and take a customer’s bag. The customer confronted the suspect and was assaulted, suffering minor injuries. The suspect fled and was not located.

There were at least 8 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Double nonresidential burglaries: Around 1:40 a.m., officers responded to two separate alarms at businesses within a block of each other located on Pacific Highway. Both showed signs of forced entry, but the reports did not list if anything was stolen.
Teacher’s car keyed: A teacher at Todd Beamer High School reported that their car had been vandalized at the school, but was unsure of the exact time of the incident.
Possible attempted robbery: Around 9:30 p.m., two suspects parked a vehicle at a business located in the 2400 block of South 288th Street. One had a rifle and yelled at a customer, who ran into the business and locked herself into a back room. An employee hid in another office while the two suspects walked around the business, then fled the scene. Nothing was taken and no assault occurred.
Strong-arm street robbery: A victim reported that at approximately 7:30 p.m. near the 33700 block of 21st Avenue Southwest, a suspect came up behind her and grabbed her purse. The suspect shoved her to the ground before fleeing the scene.

Vehicular assault: After ingesting several alcoholic drinks around 1:30 a.m. at a pub on Military Road South, a suspect became involved in a physical fight with other patrons of the bar. The suspect left the bar and drove away, then collided with two of the other patrons that had been involved in the physical altercation inside, possibly seriously injuring one of them. The driver was arrested.
Possible stabbing of a bus: A witness reported that around 8:40 a.m., a man yelled and brandished a knife on a bus near the 33600 block of Pacific Highway. The man then exited the bus and started stabbing the vehicle until the blade broke. There have been no reports from the transit agency regarding the incident.
Theft: Two motorized scooters were reportedly stolen around 9 p.m. from a business in the Commons Mall.
Oct. 7
There were at least 3 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Pedestrian hit and run: Police responded to a hit and run involving a pedestrian around 2 a.m. near the 32000 block of 1st Avenue South. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The suspect vehicle is described as a green Tahoe-like SUV with tinted windows.
Carjacking: Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. to the 30300 block of Pacific Highway South for a report of a carjacking with a weapon.
Probable overdose: Sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 2:50 p.m., officers conducted a welfare check for a man lying facedown and unresponsive near the 32100 block of 26th Avenue Southwest. Life saving measures were attempted, but ultimately the man was declared deceased. Drug paraphernalia was found nearby.
Attempted residential burglary: A victim reported that a burglary was attempted sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at their apartment off of 339th Circle.

Weapon intimidation: A suspect displayed a firearm in a way that caused alarm to the victim at approximately 2 a.m. in the 2200 block of Southwest 356th Street.
Strong-arm robbery: Two individuals of a juvenile stature pushed down a victim while she was returning her shopping cart around 1:30 p.m. near the 1600 block of Southwest Campus Drive. They then took her purse.
Purse theft: In an online report, a victim reported that after grocery shopping and placing their purse on the passenger seat of their car, an unknown suspect came from behind and grabbed the purse strap from around the victim’s wrist, then fled in a red car.

There were at least 5 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Kidnapping or abduction: Around 3 a.m., officers responded to a kidnapping near the 27200 block of Pacific Highway South. The reporting party stated that two males with guns forced him to drive to that location, then exit the vehicle. The suspects then drove off.
Residential burglary: A burglary was reported sometime between 9 a.m. and 7:50 p.m. near the 2400 block of South Star Lake Road.
Purse theft: A suspect in a white Kia Sedan snatched a purse from a victim near the Commons Mall who fell to the ground while trying to hold onto the purse.
Oct. 10
There were at least 11 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Shoplifter arrested: A shoplifter was arrested for shoplifting around 2:30 p.m. at the Commons Mall
Pedestrian hit and run: Around 8 p.m. officers were dispatched to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident near the 28800 block of 21st Avenue South. The victim was located and it was established that they had injuries and were taken to the hospital, but the suspect vehicle fled.
Cat burglary reported: An individual reported that their cat is missing and believes that the cat was stolen. The reporting party is unsure why they believe it to be a burglary and there were no signs of forced entry or anything else missing.
