Gas station armed robbery: At about 4:35 a.m. near the 35600 block of Pacific Highway South, police responded to reports of an armed robbery. Multiple suspects entered the gas station and at least one person was armed with a rifle. The suspects stole boxes of cigarettes and fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Cats in plastic: At about 1:19 p.m. near the 800 block of South 333rd Street, live cats were found inside kennels wrapped in plastic.
June 16
There were at least 3 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Fatal shooting: At about 11:23 p.m. near the 2100 block of SW 336th Street, Federal Way police responded to a homicide. Two men were killed in a shooting in the Safeway parking lot.
June 17
There was at least 1 report of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Hit-and-run: At about 6 p.m. near the intersection of 21st Avenue SW and SW Campus Drive, officers responded to a hit-and-run collision.
June 18
There were at least 2 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Abandoned vehicle: At about 3 a.m. near the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, a vehicle jumped the curb, and struck a tree and a street light, knocking both to the ground. The car was abandoned in the middle of the roadway.
Attempted ATM theft: At about 6 a.m. near the 34600 block of Pacific Highway South, it was reported that sometime overnight, an unknown suspect wrapped a chain around an ATM and attempted to steal the machine, but was unsuccessful. The incident was captured on video surveillance.
June 19
There were at least 6 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Gun pointed: At about 6:56 p.m. near the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, offices responded to reports of threats with a weapon. The victim stated that a suspect who he was meeting to sell clothing to pointed a gun at him and stole the clothing.
June 20
There were at least 5 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Tripod mistaken for rifle: At about 7:23 a.m. near the 29600 block of Military Road South, a woman called to report that she saw a student with a rifle get onto a school bus. Officers tracked down the bus and approached with caution. The bus driver told police that everything was fine and that the student has brought a tripod with him, not a rifle. No firearms were pointed at any person during this incident.
