Federal Way’s Got Talent competition kicks off for the season at the Federal Way Farmers Market from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 3.
The farmers market is located behind The Commons mall along South 324th Street in Federal Way.
Classic Marinated Chicken

Ingredients:
1/4 cup Ancient Trees Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Nature’s Work Classic Dark Balsamic Vinegar
2 tablespoons Novo Bees LLC Honey
1 tablespoon Aloha Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/3 cup 1 – baby onion + 1/3 of green stem thinly sliced (Amador Farms)
1/2 cup 1 – new garlic with stem thinly sliced (Amador Farms)
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Directions:
1. To make the marinade combine all ingredients in medium-sized bowl.
2. Place chicken breast in a gallon-sized bag with a leak-proof closure.
3. Pour marinate in bag over the chicken. Securely close the plastic bag. Massage chicken from the outside of the bag to evenly coat the chicken.
4. Marinate chicken in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight. Turning occasionally to evenly marinate the chicken.
5. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Spray grill with cooking spray.
6. Grill the chicken, over direct medium heat for 8 minutes. Turn chicken over checking the temperature after 8 minutes. The temperature should be 165 degrees.
7. Serve warm with your favorite side dish.
Optional: Place the unused marinate in a saucepan and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Using a strainer remove the sliced onion and garlic so all that is left is the liquid part of the marinate. Use the marinated liquid to brush over chicken while cooking or pour over rice.
