Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Spanish.

Q: What hobbies do you enjoy outside of your sport?

A: Listening to music.

Q: Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

A: My brother because he gives me lots of pep talks before meets and my parents.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve received when it comes to your sport?

A: Your biggest competition is yourself!

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and post-meet meal:

A: Pre: I always listen to rap music. Post: Whatever my mom makes me.

From the sidelines: TJHS junior Chan is a hard worker both in and out of the pool. He has a 4.0 cumulative GPA. He pushes himself every practice and the results show every time he competes. He has currently qualified for districts in seven swimming events.
