Breaking into business: At about 4:55 a.m. near the 27200 block of Pacific Highway South, two unknown suspects used a pry bar to damage the front door of the listed business gaining entry. They took cash and jewelry from the location and fled in an unlicensed vehicle.

Struck with guitar: At about 9 a.m. near the 2800 block of SW 340th Place, a woman assaulted her ex-boyfriend by hitting him with a guitar. The assault occurred in front of their child. The woman was arrested and booked into jail on domestic violence assault charges.

June 23

Customer pepper-sprayed: At about 7:40 p.m. near the 2300 block of South 320th Street, officers responded to an assault call where a McDonald’s manager pepper-sprayed a customer who attacked her. No charges were filed and there were no injuries. Fire crews assisted the pepper-sprayed customer.

June 24

Knife threat: At about 1:32 p.m. near the 32900 block of Pacific Highway South, a suspect threatened a person with a knife, causing him alarm.

Smashed flat screens: At about 6:45 p.m. near the 35700 block of 16th Avenue South, an ex-boyfriend smashed three of the person’s flat screen TVs and destroyed her cellphone during a mental health issue due to drug use.

June 25

Possible stabbing: At about 6:36 p.m. near the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to a motel after receiving reports of a stabbing. Officers eventually persuaded the suspect to exit the room and he was placed into custody. The woman inside the room told first responders that the suspect was her ex-boyfriend and that he pointed a knife at her throat while threatening to kill her if she made any noise. The ex-boyfriend is under investigation for assault, felony harassment and unlawful imprisonment.

Boy robbed, shot: At about 7:10 p.m. near the 2400 block of South 312th Street, a boy was walking past Steel Lake Park when he was approached by two male suspects who attempted to rob him. The boy ran away and was shot once in the rear while fleeing. The boy was taken to the hospital by his girlfriend’s mother. The boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects have not been located.

Pistol pointed: At about 10:41 p.m. near the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, a man was parked while his girlfriend unloaded groceries. A male suspect began to yell and honk. Words were exchanged and the male suspect pointed a gun at the man and his girlfriend. The male suspect was later located and arrested.

Injured man: At about 8 p.m. near the 2800 block of South 288th Street, police responded to a 911 hang-up call. Officers found a man laying on the sidewalk with minor injuries. He said someone hit him in the head, but declined to cooperate with any police investigation. There are no leads.

June 26

Agency assist: At about 1 a.m. near the 34800 block of Pacific Highway South, officers assisted a nearby agency on a stolen firearm investigation. The suspects were located at the Days Inn hotel in Federal Way after committing crimes at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The suspects were transferred to Port of Seattle Police Department custody.

IHOP altercation: At about 3:34 p.m. near the 100 block of SW Campus Drive, two men began arguing in the parking lot of the IHOP restaurant. One passenger exited a vehicle and pointed a pistol at the other driver. The two men then physically fought. After, both men fled the scene and were not located.

June 27

Man robbed: At about 3:40 a.m. near the 100 block of SW 312th Street, there was a fight at 7-Eleven. Officers found a man on scene who said he had been robbed. The suspects fled in a while sedan.The vehicle was found crashed a short time later and the suspect was not located.

Child wandering in the heat: At about 1:47 p.m. near the 3000 block of 18th Avenue SW, a two-year-old child was found wandering around in the sun wearing just a diaper. Officials later determined the child had been in the heat for about an hour-and-a-half. The child was taken into protective custody. Later, the parents were contacted and provided statements. Child Protective Services took custody of the child.

June 28

Infant left in car: At about 3:06 p.m. near the 318000 block of Pacific Highway South, two suspects left their 3-month-old baby in the car seat locked inside a parked car while they left to do errands. They were not in sight for at least 18 minutes. The parents arrived back at the car while officers were present and they were issued citations.
