Re-naming Federal Way:

Chris Carrel’s column on Federal Way’s name (Opinion, Sept. 22) was very interesting.

Unfortunately, however, he perpetuated the myth that a city name change would adversely affect mail delivery. In fact, mail is delivered solely by street address and ZIP codes; the city name is not used at all.

Misinformation on this matter simply helps to delay any progress toward an inevitable change to a decent city name, such as Evergreen or Soundcrest, that will be more respected.
