From the sidelines: FWHS senior Esther Akinlosotu has been in our program for the past four seasons. She has impressed us with her leadership skills, competitive drive, and commitment to being a scholar-athlete. Her ability to combine powerful running with explosive jumping has vaulted her to the top of the 4A leaderboard in the triple jump, soaring 40’2”. With that jump, she bested the school record and Oregon Relay’s record all while jumping to the no. 2 spot in the 100m, running 12.12. Coaching Esther has been an absolute dream. Her dedication to Federal Way Girls Track and Field has been admirable. We cannot wait to see what she can accomplish at the University of Arizona next season.
