Todd Beamer High School senior Ahjeawnna Sterling, basketball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Dec. 10.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Math.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: I’m a year-round athlete, and I also like watching Netflix.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My Mother.

A: “You are the strongest in the league.”

Q: Describe your pre-match ritual?

A: My ritual is to pray before the game and talk about things that I am going to do in the game.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Essence” by WizKid.

From the sideline: TBHS senior has been the backbone of Todd Beamer’s success the last couple of years. The things she does may not always show up in the scoring section, but she is a key rebounder and major defender for the program. Ahjeawnna has clocked 64 minutes in two games.
