Thank you, Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna, for looking out for our rights. I am not sure why Gov. Christine Gregoire is so paranoid about about his participation in a legal action that will serve to either confirm or deny the constitutionality of the recent health care bill.
If the bill is in fact deemed constitutional, then Gov. Gregoire is vindicated. If the bill is deemed unconstitutional, in a court of law, then there is an injustice upon the people that must be corrected.
In the case of the latter, this means modifications to the bill would be required. Not that everything would need to be thrown out.
Let due process play out.
I am rather curious as to where our local State Sen. Tracey Eide (D-District 30) stands on this “outrage” against our attorney general. Does she believe in allowing due process to proceed? Or does she wish to quash McKenna’s efforts to a proper hearing? A fair question, as we come into another campaign season.
