BB gun outside McDonald’s: At about 3:25 p.m. near the 2302 block of S. 320th Street, a suspect was brandishing a handgun in the parking lot of McDonald’s. The suspect was not pointing it at anyone, but had it pointed up in the air. Witnesses were alarmed and called 911. The suspect was found hiding in the bushes behind McDonald’s and a realistic CO2 BB gun was found near his feet hidden in the ivy. The suspect was photographed, fingerprinted, cited and released.

Drive-by shooting: At about 9:16 p.m. near the 35700 block of 16th Avenue South, there was a drive-by shooting at an apartment complex. A single unit was hit multiple times when the suspect(s) fired from a grey SUV. The case is under investigation and suspects have not yet been identified.

Nov. 4

Transients ambush security guard: At about 12:30 a.m. near the 33100 block of Pacific Highway South, a security guard called in distress that he was being ambushed by a group of transients throwing rocks at him. One of the suspects threatened to shoot him and reached for his waistband. Fearing for his life, the security guard tried to extricate himself from the situation by driving away. As he reversed rapidly, he struck a parked vehicle. The suspect fled the scene and was not located by the police.

Vehicle prowler: At about 4:51 a.m. near the 2100 block of S. 336th Street, officers responded to the area for a vehicle prowl and arrested the thief. He had a lengthy list of criminal convictions, making this offense a felony. The suspect was fingerprinted, photographed, interviewed and released.

Thai Bistro burglary: At about 5:59 a.m. near the 34817 block of Enchanted Parkway South, police responded to an alarm at Thai Bistro. Upon arrival police found a burglary had taken place.

Fatal overdose: At about 10:48 a.m. near the 848 block of S. 320th Street, a witness reported an unconscious man under a tree near the library. Police arrived and found the man was obviously deceased with drug paraphernalia in his hands. Police said the death was due to a possible drug overdose and the King County Medical Examiner’s Office took over the investigation.

Tire punctured: At about 3:30 p.m. near the 33500 block of 13th Place South, an ex-boyfriend was seen crouching near his ex-girlfriend’s car. The man was then seen walking away from the front tire while holding a knife. The tire had a knife puncture mark.

Woman stabbed: At about 9:34 p.m. near the 33600 to 35600 block of 21st Avenue SW, police responded to St. Francis Hospital for a stabbing victim, the woman stated a man exited a vehicle and attempted to rob her, then stabbed her when she did not give him anything. No information on the suspect or suspect vehicle.

Nov. 5

Shooting: At about 2:15 a.m. near the 2300 block of SW 341st Place, police responded to reports of multiple gunshots fired. Police found several shell casings on scene. A neighbor said he looked outside his window and saw a dark colored vehicle fleeing the area, but no suspects were located.

Robbed at knifepoint: At about 3:43 a.m. near the 2109 block of SW 336th Street, a man reported that he was robbed at knife point by two men. The victim gave the men his phone then ran inside the Safeway store and locked the doors. Both suspects fled on foot.

Nov. 6

Gas station robbery: At about 3:06 a.m. near the 31800 block of Pacific Highway South, police responded to a strong-arm robbery at the Arco AM PM gas station.

Nov. 7

Drive-thru altercation: At about 1:08 a.m. near the 1610 block of S. 347th Place, a man said he was waiting in the Jack in the Box drive-thru line for approximately 45 minutes to order. When he was at the order window, he complained about the wait time. An employee allegedly became upset and yelled at the man, telling him to leave. At the window, the man got into a verbal altercation with the employee and he alleges the employee chased after his vehicle and kicked it. The employee said the man insulted him and threw a soda can at another employee.

Apartment shot: At about 12:38 p.m. near the 35400 block of 25th Avenue SW, an apartment was found to have bullet hole damage. No occupants were injured and there is no suspect information.

Hot oil burns: At about 5:23 p.m. near the 2300 block of S. 292nd Street, officers responded to reports of an assault. A verbal dispute occurred between the victim and the suspect. The suspect then threw hot cooking oil on the victim, resulting in burns on his neck and arms. The suspect was located near the scene and taken into custody.

Girlfriend attempts to stab boyfriend: At about 7:05 p.m. near the 900 block of SW Campus Drive, a man and his girlfriend were arguing about finances when the female began using a knife to destroy his property. The boyfriend left the scene to diffuse the situation. The girlfriend was detained and was found to have violated an order. Police found that the girlfriend had also chased after the boyfriend with the knife and swung multiple times trying to stab him. She was arrested for first-degree assault.

Nov. 8

Illegal dumping: At about 10:05 a.m. near the 31200 block of 28th avenue South, officers responded to an illegal dumping. The reporting party was contacted by police, who said the suspect vehicle used her vehicle in an attempt to hit the reporting party. Suspect has not yet been identified.

Firearm threat: At about 3:08 p.m. near the 2200 block of SW 334th Place, police responded to a threat with a firearm.

Nov. 9

Pedestrian hit: At about 12:58 a.m. near the 33200 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. The pedestrian was transported to Harborview Medical Center for further evaluation, but initial reports said his injuries were non-life threatening. No crime was found as the pedestrian was walking in the middle of the road and was wearing dark clothing.

Man exposes self in store: At about 5:33 p.m. near the 1900 block of S. 314rth Street, a man exposed himself inside the Walmart store. Video surveillance of the suspect was obtained.

Carjacking: At about 9:11 p.m. near the 33220 block of Pacific Highway South, a man was carjacked at the Eastwind Motel. The victim was shot by the suspect before the suspect drove off in the victim’s car. The victim was treated at the scene for a minor injury. Suspects have not been identified yet.
