FWHS senior helps volleyball team earn 4A ranking while holding 3.8 GPA.

Federal Way High School senior Heavenly Tuputala, volleyball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Oct. 29.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: History.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Volleyball and anything with my family.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Dad, Alf.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Play 110% on the court and play like it’s your last game,” by Dad, Alf.

Q: Describe your pre-match ritual and your favorite post-match meal?

A: Pre: Pray before a match. Post-game meal: Fruity Pebbles cereal.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “When We Were Young” by Adele.

From the sideline: FWHS senior Heavenly Tuputala is a 4-year letter winner in women’s volleyball. Her dynamic play and positive encouragement inspires her teammates to give it their all during games as well as practices. Heavenly consistently leads the team in offense and has helped Federal Way High School reach #15 in the RPI for the 4A classification. Heavenly currently has 153 kills for the season, 108 digs, and 27 service aces. Heavenly also excels in the classroom. She participates in the Cambridge Program and has a 3.8 accumulative GPA.
