Beth Ellen Augustine, 62, of Federal Way, WA. passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2021 at her winter home in Yuma, AZ. Beth was born on June 22, 1958 in Great Falls, Montana to Robert (Bob) Augustine and Shirley Kaste Augustine. Beth and her family moved to Spokane, WA in 1966. She attended Balboa Elementary, Salk Jr High and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1976.
Immediately after graduation she enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia. After returning to Spokane she held several jobs including at the assessors office in CDA and Modern Machinery in Spokane. Beth spent several years living in Anchorage, AK, obtaining college credits and completed her degree in communications at Eastern Washington University. She relocated to Federal Way where she worked for the State of WA Unemployment Office working mainly with Veterans. She was later employed by the Veterans Affairs where she worked until retirement. Beth was honored by the State of Washington for her work with Veterans receiving a special Washington State veterans’ license plate of which there only were 25 issued. Working with Veterans was her passion. She loved to travel and take on new adventures enjoying all outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends. Beth is survived by her children Amy Augustine-Ward (Derek) and Adam Augustine, both of Seattle WA; 3 grandchildren, Olivia Augustine of Los Angeles, CA, Christopher Augustine and Antony Ward of Seattle WA. She is also survived by her mother Shirley Augustine of Coeur d’ Alene ID, a brother Michael Augustine (Bobbi) of Vancouver, WA., sister Leslie Bening of Post Falls, ID, and brother Gordon Augustine (Cheryl) of Vienna, Austria, several nieces and nephews as well as her special adopted daughter Pamela Knox-Sedacy. Beth was preceded in death by her father, Robert Augustine. No services are planned at this time.
