Graduating seniors will be given two in-person tickets for guests to attend the outdoor ceremonies in June, Federal Way Public Schools recently announced.
This year’s graduation ceremonies for all local high schools will be held at Federal Way Memorial Stadium. The outdoor venue allows for greater capacity while also meeting COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and other safety measures, the district said.
To ensure the safety of all attendees, each graduating senior will be allocated a maximum of two in-person tickets for family members or friends to attend the ceremony. Individuals without tickets will not be allowed inside the stadium, the district said. The number of staff members attending each ceremony will also be reduced.
All graduation ceremonies will be live-streamed for family members, friends and supporters of graduates to watch. Senior car parades and yard signs for seniors are also set to be organized in the coming weeks.
Free parking at Federal Way Memorial Stadium, 1300 S. 308th St., will be available and limited to in-person ticket holders only.
