Missing golf cart: At about 10:02 a.m. near the 125 block of SW Campus Drive, police were dispatched to the Encore Apartment Homes for reports of a stolen golf cart. The complex’s maintenance staff was using the cart as they cleaned the parking lot. They walked around a corner and came back to find the golf cart was gone. At this time there is no suspect information and the estimated loss is about $3,000.

Nov. 12

Reckless driver ruins greenhouse: At about 3:59 p.m. near the 2600 block of SW 334th Place, officers responded to a hit and run collision. The suspect vehicle lost control after driving recklessly and destroyed the victim’s fence and greenhouse. Video surveillance allowed officers to locate and positively identify the suspect. The case was forwarded to prosecutors.

Nov. 13

Unwanted patient: At about 1 a.m. near the 34515 block of 9th Avenue S., officers responded to reports of an unwanted subject in the emergency room. Security had detained a male subject, who repeatedly tried to get admitted to the ER without medical reasoning. The man became angry when asked to leave, then knocked over medical equipment and yelled at staff. Hospital staff provided the subject’s name to police, who discovered the man had an active misdemeanor warrant. The subject was placed in handcuffs and the Fife jail declined to book warrants. The subject was dropped off by police at the requested location of a Fife convenience store.

Nov. 14

Roommate strangled: At about 3:04 a.m. near the 1000 block of SW Campus Drive, officers were flagged down by a person in a vehicle regarding a physical fight between roommates. Upon arrival, officers found probable cause for strangulation was established and the suspect was arrested on the scene.

Woman found days later in apartment: At about 1:42 p.m. near the 31400 block of 32nd Avenue S., officers responded to the residence for a welfare check. Officers were told the resident had not been to work in a week and no one had been able to reach her. Upon arrival, officers knocked on the door, and at first thought they could hear a faint moaning sound from inside the apartment. South King Fire and Rescue was contacted to obtain a master key. Entry was made and the resident was found face-down wedged between her bed and the wall. Officers believed the woman was dead until she moved her head slightly. SKFR crews began medical treatment and determined she had been on the ground for 4-5 days after sustaining a broken arm from the fall. The resident was transported to St. Francis Hospital by medics.

Nov. 15

Armed robbery: At about 6:20 a.m. near the 34800 block of Pacific Highway S., a victim reported a male subject displayed a black handgun, threatened to kill the victim, stole the victim’s property, and fled. Officers located a suspect matching the description provided by the victim. The suspect admitted to the robbery, had the victim’s stolen property in their possession and was arrested for robbery in the first degree.

Dispute over Church’s Chicken drive-thru: At about 6:38 p.m. near the 31717 block of Pacific Highway S., officers responded to reports of a malicious mischief incident. According to the caller, an unknown man shattered the victim’s car window with a baseball bat after a dispute over the drive-thru at Church’s Chicken. The suspect’s license plate led to identification of the suspect.

Nov. 16

Female found in backseat: At about 12:05 a.m. near the 32000 block of Military Road S., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a suspect vehicle. Investigation found the driver had a no-contact order warrant. The suspect was placed in custody. An inventory of his vehicle revealed a female hiding in the back seat. There was a no-contact order between the two. The man was booked on felony violation of the order.

Nov. 17

Home renovations gone wrong: At about 4:18 p.m. near the 1800 block of SW 353rd Place, the victim and the suspect were working on renovating a home near the listed address. The suspect became upset when the victim hurried him to leave. The suspect allegedly punched the victim four times in the face, breaking his nose. The suspect fled the scene and was not located by police.

Armed robbery over iPhones: At about 8:06 p.m. near the 2012 block of S. 320th Street, police were dispatched to a call of a robbery with a gun. The victims stated they met two men to sell them two iPhones and were then robbed at gunpoint.
