Shooting investigation: At about 11:18 a.m. near the 5700 block of SW Dash Point Road, officers responded to St. Francis Hospital regarding a man with a gunshot wound in the emergency room. The man indicated he had been shot at Dash Point State Park, the listed address, by a known suspect. The case is under investigation.
Condo break in: At about 6:24 p.m. near the 100 block of S. 327th Place, a woman called to report unlawful entry to her condo by a strange man. The woman was sleeping when she was awoken by noises downstairs. Going to investigate, she noticed a man wearing a white football jersey standing in her living room. When she asked what he was doing, he said “leaving.” The man exited out the front door. There were no missing items and no damage to the home. Suspect was not located.
Oct. 22
Woman hits police car: At about 12:08 p.m. near the 31006 block of Pacific Highway S., officers responded to reports of a woman slumped over in her vehicle with the engine running. Officers found a felony arrest warrant had been issued to the vehicle’s registered owner. The woman saw approaching officers and quickly backed into a marked police car. The woman then fled the scene by driving onto the sidewalk and colliding into a Redbox DVD dispensing machine. She fled from Federal Way police at a high rate of speed and was not located.
Seven cameras spray painted: At about 1:56 p.m. near the 2626 block of SW 327th Street, a FWPS school security guard called to report seven security cameras at Olympic View Elementary had been damaged after an unknown man spray painted them. The cost to repair is approximately $1,100. The suspect is said to be a man between the ages of 40-50 and may also be responsible for damage at Silver Lake Elementary.

Man swallows heroin: At about 2:55 p.m. near the 1800 block of S. 333rd Street, officers contacted a man crawling out of the garage of an abandoned house. The man’s identification returned with a confirmed felony warrant. An uncapped needle was found in his pants pocket. The man claimed the pants were not his. On the way to the jail, the man claimed his stomach hurt due to swallowing three grams of tar heroin prior to police contact due to “being scared.” The man was sent to a hospital for involuntary hold and his ability to speak diminished due to the alleged drug ingestion.

Car sale gone wrong: At about 8:38 p.m. near the 3330 block of SW 327th Place, a victim reported he was selling a vehicle through an ad he placed on Facebook. A man met with the seller to look at the car and purchase it. After a test drive, the man provided an envelope of bills worth $2,500 to purchase the car to the seller. The seller believed the bills to be counterfeit. When the seller confronted the man, the man grabbed the bills from the seller and took the keys with him. The seller attempted to get in contact with the man, but he is blocked on Facebook and his real identity is unknown.

Home invasion: At about 9:19 a.m. near the 2500 block of S. 286th Place, the victims heard a person knocking on their apartment door. The person then began attempting to kick in the door and hitting it with a large metal box. The male victim opened the door and the person struck him in the face with the metal box. The male victim went downstairs to call 911 while the person kicked in the door and attempted to get into the bedroom where the female victim and her 2-year-old child were. The female victim had barricaded herself in the room and armed herself with a hammer. Officers arrived on scene and arrested the person, who was later booked into Kent City Jail.
