Fraudulent forms company: At about 1 p.m. near the 3300 block of SW 327th Place, a woman reported that a Spain-based internet company, US Forms, may have stolen her identity. On June 2, the woman paid the internet company $195 to gain access to U.S. Government documents, which she later found out were available for free through an official U.S. Government website. The woman said the company now has all of her personal information. The woman has not found any unauthorized use of her personal information, but the company also has not refunded her back the $195.

Stolen siding: At about 11 a.m. near the 27900 block of 15th Avenue South, a witness reported seeing two suspects stealing hardy plank siding from a lot at the Pacific Heights housing complex the prior night around 7:30 p.m. The reporting party reviewed his surveillance footage and saw two suspects loading several pieces of siding and soffit onto their truck. The witness was able to get photos of the suspects and the truck’s license plate number. Upon checking the plate number, the vehicle returned as stolen out of Seattle. As the suspects were wearing masks during the theft, police are unable to investigate further.
Dispute over dog defecation: At around 12:30 p.m. near the 35120 block of 25th Avenue Southwest, a woman called police to report an elderly neighbor woman would not walk away from in front of her apartment and said the elderly woman was recording her on a cell phone. Officers arrived at the location and were advised of an ongoing issue with the elderly woman and her dog. The reporting party has recorded the elderly woman in the past when she allowed her dog to defecate on the grass area outside of the apartment and did not pick it up. The dispute had been going on for several weeks. After police were called, the elderly woman spoke to the witness and made a racist comment about the reporting party and her family. Police contacted the elderly woman and she was instructed to walk her dog in a different direction. Both parties were advised to maintain distance from each other and not engage in any verbal dispute. Case was closed as no crime was committed.

Unwanted ER trespasser: At about 9 a.m. near the 34510 block of 9th Avenue South, officers responded to St. Francis Hospital regarding an unwanted male who had been discharged from the ER and refused to leave the waiting room. The man refused to leave upon the officer’s requests and was then arrested for trespassing. The man was cited and released from custody.
Employee assaulted: At about 2:30 p.m. near the 31850 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to reports of an assault. Upon arrival, the victim, a man in his 70s, was located and identified as an employee of the business. The employee had attempted to stop a man from urinating on the back of the business. The suspect then followed the employee to the front of the business. When the employee exited his vehicle, the suspect grabbed the employee and pushed his head into the side of the vehicle. The employee was evaluated by South King Fire & Rescue and cleared. The suspect exited the parking lot in a light colored Cadillac. Suspect information and plate information is unknown. The employee began to provide a statement, but changed his mind in fear of retaliation.
Vacuuming victim: At about 4:30 p.m. near the 35500 block of Pacific Highway South, a woman was vacuuming her vehicle at the ARCO gas station when a beige Toyota Camry pulled up beside her. A man exited the vehicle and then took the woman’s backpack out of the back of her vehicle while she was distracted. Suspect details and further information was obtained through surveillance video footage.

False luck: At about 3 p.m. near the 34720 block of Pacific Highway South, two unknown suspects entered the business and purchased 12 scratch-off lottery tickets with a counterfeit $100 bill. The counterfeit was not discovered until after the transaction was complete. Investigation is ongoing.
Underage solicitation:At about 12:48 p.m. near the 3000 block of 25th Avenue Southwest, a mother discovered adults were soliciting her underage son to exchange nude photos of himself for Amazon gift cards. The juvenile son was being contacted by adults who were using multiple online platforms and applications for contact. The juvenile’s mother wanted the son’s cell phone number submitted as evidence. Investigation is ongoing.

Call for help: At about 2:40 p.m. near the 3000 block of 17th Place South, officers responded to a welfare check for a report of a man yelling for help in the parking lot of the Habitat Apartments. Upon arrival, officers located a man who had just been robbed of his cell phone, car keys and house keys. The unidentified man fled on foot and was not located. Case has been closed.
June 14
Family matters: At about 7:13 p.m. near the 30800 block of 20th Avenue Southwest, two children were play fighting and the fight then turned into a real fight. One child was knocked out. Soon the families of the involved children started to fight, creating a large group of people. It appeared the incident involved mutual combat. Case is active pending a crime investigation.
June 17
Threat at Super Walmart: At about 1:28 p.m. near the 34520 block of 16th Avenue South, officers responded to the Super Walmart regarding a man walking around with a screwdriver. The man was contacted and made a statement that he was “looking for someone to kill.” The man was transported to St. Francis Hospital via Tri-Med for involuntary committal for mental health.
