Offense
QB — Evan Elliott, Federal Way
The senior was named the Offensive Back of the Year in the SPSL South after a monster season leading the Eagles offense.
During the Eagles’ perfect regular season, Elliott accounted for 23 total touchdowns, including 20 through the air, and only had one interception. He threw for 1,585 yards.
RB — Chico McClatcher, Federal Way
The electric sophomore was named to numerous All-State teams as a returner after a massive season for the Eagles in which he scored a grand total of 17 touchdowns.
McClatcher finished with 615 yards on just 62 carries at running back, including six touchdown runs. He also caught 11 passes for 337 yards, including seven touchdown catches. He also returned four punts for touchdowns and averaged 31 yards per return.
RB — Zeke McNeal, Federal Way
The senior speedster led the district in rushing with 1,347 yards on just 96 carries for a ridiculous 14.0 average every time he touched the ball. McNeal also finished with a team-leading 17 touchdowns, including 16 on the ground and one on a catch. He was a first-team, All-SPSL South selection by the league’s coaches at running back and had 292 yards during a playoff win over Issaquah.
RB — Noel Maafala, Decatur
The senior was a bruising runner for the Gators this season. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder led the Gators with 703 yards and eight touchdowns. Maafala had a pair of 100-yard games, including 102 yards and two touchdowns against Enumclaw. He was a first-team, All-SPSL 3A Division selection.
WR — Michael Tate, Federal Way
Tate led an ultra-talented trio of receivers for the Eagles with eight touchdown catches. On the season, Tate finished with 21 catches for 276 yards and was a first-team, All-SPSL South selection. Tate has offers from Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana, Portland State and Wyoming.
WR — D’Londo Tucker, Federal Way
The senior led the Eagles with 26 catches on the season for 432 yards and five touchdowns. Tucker was a first-team, All-SPSL selection on both sides of the ball for Federal Way.
WR — Marcel Morris, Federal Way
The senior first-team, All-SPSL South selection led the Eagles in receiving yards with 444 on just 20 catches. Morris had seven touchdown catches.
WR — Kyle Dougherty — Jefferson
The senior caught 34 passes, which was fifth in the SPSL North, for 405 yards in nine games for the Raiders this season. Dougherty had a high game of 97 yards with three touchdown catches.
OL — Albert Havili, Federal Way
The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year in the SPSL South by the league’s coaches. Havili cleared the way for McNeal and McClatcher, and allowed Elliott plenty of time to throw the ball this season.
OL — David Tiumalu, Federal Way
The sophomore was a second-team, All-SPSL South selection after an impressive season for the Eagles. He should anchor Federal Way’s line next season.
OL — Kyle Gleed, Decatur
The senior road-grader is also one of the best heavyweight wrestlers in the entire state this winter.
OL — Corron Spears, Decatur
Spears was a second-team, All-SPSL 3A Division selection for the 2-8 Gators. He cleared the way for Decatur’s leading rusher, Maafala.
Defense
DB — D’Londo Tucker, Federal Way
The senior is being recruited by several programs after being named the Defensive Back of the Year in the SPSL South Division. Tucker finished with five interceptions during the regular season and was a strong tackler on the outside for Federal Way. Tucker has offers from Eastern Washington, Idaho and Portland State.
DB — Keenan Curran, Federal Way
The junior was a first-team, All-SPSL South selection at defensive back for the Eagles. Curran finished with three interceptions and returned one for a touchdown. He should take over full-time duties at quarterback for the Eagles next season.
DB — Marcel Morris, Federal Way
Morris, along with Havili, was named an All-SPSL South first-teamer on both sides of the ball after an impressive senior season. The Federal Way secondary led the SPSL in interceptions with 18 during the regular season.
DB — Kevin Young, Decatur
The junior was the lone first-team, All-SPSL 3A defender for the Gators this year. The athletic Young was Decatur’s top receiver.
DB — Aaron Persinger, Federal Way
The senior finished with five interceptions for the Eagles and was also a safety valve in the middle of the field for Federal Way. Persinger was a first-team, All-SPSL South selection.
LB — Albert Havili, Federal Way
The senior was not only selected the SPSL South’s Offensive Lineman of the Year, but was also the league’s Linebacker of the Year on the defensive side of the ball. Havili led the SPSL’s top defense this season, which allowed only 223.2 yards a game. Havili has offers from Montana State and Eastern Washington.
LB — Rod Jones, Federal Way
The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder led the Eagles with four sacks during the regular season from his middle linebacker position. Federal Way allowed only 104 yards a game rushing. Jones was a first-team, All-SPSL South selection.
LB — Archie Ioramo, Beamer
The senior was a second-team, All-SPSL South selection after finishing the season with 56.5 tackles for the Titans. Ioramo had 45 solo tackles to lead Beamer.
LB — Jared Pulu, Federal Way
The junior had a breakout season for the Eagles and was named to the second-team, All-SPSL South team. Pulu unleashed numerous big hits during the Eagles’ unbeaten regular season.
DL — Jay-Tee Tiuli, Federal Way
Another junior for head coach John Meagher who should be a big-time recruit next season. The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder was a beast in the middle of the line for Federal Way.
DL — Shane Seuame, Jefferson
The junior led the SPSL in tackles for losses in fewer games than most other players. In just seven games, Seuame tallied 20.5 tackles behind the line for a loss of 57 yards for the Raiders. He also had 62.5 tackles in seven games, including 49 solo tackles.
