Police perform high-risk stop after suspect points gun

Police stopped the vehicle and detained all the occupants.

Reckless driving: At approximately 12:10 a.m. near the 28800 block of Pacific Highway S., officers responded to reports of a three-vehicle collision. After a field investigation, officers determined the subject had been street racing another vehicle, lost control and collided with two parked cars. The driver was cited for reckless driving.

Drug-related theft: At approximately 2:34 p.m. near the 100 block of S. 337th Lane, officers responded to a report of theft. The victim told officers she believed her friend had stolen her items and pawned them. The victim said her friend was battling an addiction and her behavior had gotten worse. This is an active investigation.

Similar offense: At approximately 2:48 p.m. near the 300 block of S. 288th St., officers responded to a theft report. The victim told officers that she believed her daughter had stolen multiple items from her home to pawn them. She said that her daughter was an addict and her behavior had been getting worse. This is an active investigation.

Intoxicated driver: At approximately 5:19 p.m. near the 600 block of SW 347th Way, officers responded to a man in his vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the roadway. When officers arrived, they arrested the driver after it was determined that he was intoxicated. The subject was transported to the police department for blood alcohol content testing. The suspect was taken into protective custody by medical personnel and released to the hospital.

High-risk stop: At approximately 8:24 p.m. near the 34400 block of Pacific Highway S., officers responded to reports of a subject pulling out a gun and pointing it at the ground. A high-risk stop on the described vehicle was performed and occupants were detained. Officers also made contact with witnesses and the reporting party, but they did not wish to participate and would not give officers any additional information. All involved were identified and released.

Unlawful transit conduct: At approximately 9:46 p.m. near the 31600 block of 23rd Ave. S., officers addressed a subject who was highly intoxicated and urinated on the transit center platform after being told not to. She was arrested for unlawful transit conduct, cited and released to her mother.
