King County medical examiners have identified the 19-year-old man who was shot and later died of his injuries on Sunday night.

Luis Delacerda died on Dec. 22 at Harborview Medical Center. His manner of death was ruled a homicide.

Federal Way police officers found him sitting in a car after being shot around 5:30 p.m. at the 33400 block of 23rd Ave. SW, the Mirror previously reported.

“As a result of his injuries, the male victim died at Harborview,” according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of the Federal Way Police Department.

Photos and video of the scene, provided by Evergreen Media Production, show a white sedan vehicle had crashed into a fire hydrant and came to rest perpendicular to the roadway on Dec. 22.

Police have not yet released any further information about the incident or possible suspects, and are continuing to investigate.
