A man is in critical condition after he was shot in Federal Way on Sunday evening.
South King Fire and Rescue crews responded to reports of a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound just before 6 p.m. at the 76 gas station on 1st Way South on Nov. 10.
“At about 5:50 p.m., the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle drove up to the 76 gas station … and reported that he had been shot,” according to Federal Way police Cmdr. Kurt Schwan.
The man was not shot at the gas station, Schwan confirmed. The male victim was conscious at the scene but did not provide the details of the shooting.
Information obtained by officers revealed the scene of the shooting may have been across the street in the nearby apartment complex, Schwan added. Detectives are responding to assist with this investigation.
The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition after crews treated him at the scene, according to SKFR public information officer Lt. Brad Chaney. Federal Way police are investigating.
