Dozens of community members joined local law enforcement to participate in the annual Run with a Cop 5K to raise money for Washington Special Olympics on Saturday at the Federal Way Community Center.
Federal Way Police Department officers, South King Fire and Rescue responders, and many more community members were at the event, decked out in running gear to support this cause.
This event was part of a series of 5Ks around the state this summer and is a key fundraiser for the Law Enforcement Torch Run campaign for the Special Olympics, which raises funds and awareness for more than 19,500 athletes across the state with intellectual disabilities.
In 2018, the Run with the Cops series raised more than $30,000 for Special Olympics Washington. For more information, visit RunWithTheCopsWA.com.
