Home Depot robbery: At approximately 1:58 p.m. near the 1700 block of S. 352nd St., officers responded to a call of a recent shoplifting incident from Home Depot. Loss prevention said all of their items were recovered and the suspect also left their personal belongings. Inside the open backpack officers found a life-like revolver-style BB gun. The suspect was later detained near the store and loss prevention confirmed his identity. He was then transported to the Federal Way Police Department for questioning in regards to a separate case before being released. Loss prevention asked only for a trespass.
Gas pump damage: At approximately 4:30 p.m. near the 27200 block of Pacific Highway S., officers responded to an ARCO station to reports of a vehicle that drove away from the pump with the gas nozzle still attached, causing pump damage. The registered owner of the vehicle is a male, however the gas station clerk said the driver was female. The driver continued driving eastbound on South 272nd Street after damaging the pump. The vehicle is registered out of Seattle, and a hit and run letter was mailed to the registered owner.

Overdose: At approximately 6:18 a.m. near the 32200 block of 1 Lane SW, the female reporting party said she found her 48-year-old mother unresponsive and not breathing on her bedroom floor. Medics and fire attempted to resuscitate the mother but were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead by medics at 6:37 a.m. Fire located an empty medication bottle that possibly contained heroin and crack cocaine. King County medical examiners took over the investigation.
Parking lot argument: At approximately 6:59 a.m. near the 1200 block of S. 320th St., officers responded to a report of a domestic violence situation in the parking lot of Safeway. Upon arrival, officers witnessed a female driver over a male in her car. The male was arrested on a domestic violence order violation and the female was arrested for domestic violence assault.

Threats with a gun: At approximately 3:29 a.m. near the 35700 block of 16th Ave. S., officers responded to some apartment buildings in response to reports of a male holding a handgun and threatening to fight people.
Pool building damage: At approximately 3:05 p.m. near the 31200 block of Pete Von Reichbauer Way S., a woman was attemping to park her car in front of an office building to an apartment complex. She accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake and accelerated into the pool building, causing major damage to the building. Officials called fire marshalls and building inspectors to ensure the building was not going to collapse. No one was inside the building when it was struck.
