Thomas Jefferson High School’s Garrett Lutz, baseball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for May 10.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Math, specifically calculus.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: I love to fish!
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: Coach Joe Strong.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: I don’t. I prefer to wake up focused on the game at hand.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: Nothing particularly, just the songs my friends have made on their playlists.
From the sideline: Thomas Jefferson senior Garrett Lutz led the TJHS baseball team to an upset victory 4-3 over second place Auburn Mountainview on April 18. Garrett was the winning pitcher with one earned run and four strikeouts. He was also one for two with a run scored. In the next game win over Enumclaw 3-2, Garrett has the same winning RBI. Garrett is a team captain and a true leader.
