Federal Way High School’s Zane Baumgardt, boys soccer, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for April 5.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Photography.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: Soccer, hanging out with friends, movies, team barbecues.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My dad, Jason, and my mom, Camille.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: Pre-game: Nap, watch the junior varsity game. Post: Go out to eat with the team.

From the sidelines: Federal Way High School senior Zane Baumgardt has been a leader on and off the field this year. The future University of Colorado, Colorado Springs player has 10 goals and five assists for the first place Eagles. Zane helped the Eagles go 3-0 last week while scoring six goals. Zane also continues to be a mentor in the classroom.
