Thomas Jefferson stole the show this season and took fourth at the WIAA 4A State girls bowling tournament, following a second-place finish at districts on Jan. 26, and capturing the North Puget Sound League title on Jan. 16.
As a team, TJHS finished with 7,294 points at state and landed fourth behind Wenatchee (7,323), Pasco (7,371) and 4A champs Eastmont (7,477).
TJHS senior Madison McCord placed fifth in state with 1,083 points and TJHS senior Haylee Pollard finished eighth with 1,070 points.
The Federal Way High School girls bowling team took the 4A crown in academics, placing first in the 2018-19 WIAA Team Academic state championships. With six participants, FWHS averaged a GPA of 3.786.
The state girls bowling tournament was held Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the Narrows Plaza Bowl in University Place.
