Athlete of the Week:
Decatur High School’s Bradley Tyack, boys wrestling, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Dec. 28.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Criminal justice.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?
A: Mixed martial arts.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My dad, Rusty Tyack.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: Not really, other than praying to God before my match/matches.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: “Lie” by NF.
From the sideline: Last year, senior Bradley Tyack finished second in the North Puget Sound League, third in the WIAA Regional Tournament and represented the Gators at the WIAA Mat Classic State Wrestling Tournament. Last week, Bradley pinned his opponent from Auburn High School, was the champion at 160-pound in the Gator Invite wrestling tournament hosted by Decatur (previously named the Hurricane Harris Invite), and won his match at Enumclaw High School. Bradley has also excelled off the mat completing his high school diploma work with a combination of home school and Decatur High School courses.
