• Man loiters on woman’s doorstep: At 9:41 a.m. June 16 in the 35000 block of 27th Avenue SW, a woman reported that an unknown man was loitering on her doorstep, claiming he lived at her house. The woman had been residing at the house for 30-plus years and had no knowledge of the man, or his belief that he lived at the residence. The report notes the confused man had an active warrant, and was arrested and booked into jail.

• Intoxicated restaurant-goer: At 1:30 a.m. June 16 in the 2000 block of SW Campus Drive, police were dispatched to deal with an intoxicated patron at a restaurant. According to the report, the patron had been punched by a man unknown to him earlier in the evening. In reaction, the intoxicated man punched and broke a vase belonging to the restaurant. The restaurant asked for the man to recoup the $30 cost of the vase.

• Discussion of religion gets heated: At 2:12 a.m. June 16 in the 2500 block of South 320th Street, witnesses reported a possible domestic dispute between a man and a woman arguing in a parking lot. According to the report, the two were unknown to each other. Instead, the man indicated he was “trying to save” the woman’s life by discussing religion with her.

• Woman claims daughter stole car: At 11:28 a.m. June 15 in the 1800 block of South 281st Place, a woman claimed her adult daughter had stolen her car. The report notes that after a certain point, the reporting woman became uncooperative and would not help with any further details.

• Good Samaritans help out: At 1 p.m. June 16 in the 36000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, witnesses observed a vehicle attempt to park in too small of a parking spot. During this attempt, the vehicle damaged an adjacent vehicle. The owner of the vehicle left the area without leaving any information with the damaged vehicle. The report notes that the owners of both vehicles were eventually contacted.

• Semi-truck prowl: At 5:48 p.m. June 16 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, a semi-truck driver indicated that items worth approximately $500 had been stolen from his truck.

• Business laptop stolen: At 10:55 p.m. June 16 in the 28000 block of Pacific Highway South, the manager of a business reported that his work laptop had been stolen from his secured business place. The report notes that other valuable items were left by the unknown suspects, and that sensitive information relating to the business and its customers was on the stolen laptop.

• Vehicle crash: At 5:46 a.m. June 15 in the 30000 block of 1st Avenue South, a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control. According to the report, the vehicle lost control and struck a sign, a tree stump and a fence. The report notes that the driver of the vehicle, along with two occupants, fled the scene after the crash.

• Percocet stolen: At 6:36 a.m. June 14 in the 28000 block of Military Road South, a man left his residence unsecured when he and his wife walked to a nearby convenience store. During the time they were gone, unknown suspects entered their residence and stole the man’s bottle of Percocet painkillers that he had left on a kitchen counter.

• Child abuse/neglect: At 10:53 p.m. June 15 in the 35000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, a mother called police to notify them that her son said his father had left him sitting in a car earlier that day for over 30 minutes. According to the report, the son told the mother he was having difficulty breathing at the time the report was made.
