SKFR firefighters present young Mirror Lake students with coats for winter

Representatives from South King Fire & Rescue, Firefighters Union Local 2024 and community partners pooled resources to bring warm coats to local children as a part of “Operation Warm” recently. The agencies bought more than 175 new coats and distributed them to all of the kindergartners and first-graders at Mirror Lake Elementary. This was the fifth year that SKFR has outfitted a school in its response area for a total of over 800 coats distributed since 2013. The students also got a chance to visit with Sparky the fire dog, tour a fire engine and get a new coat. Visit www.operationwarm.org for more information. Courtesy South King Fire & Rescue
