The Federal Way Lions are hosting their 13th annual car show with close to 200 different cars on display. All money raised from the event will be going to scholarships to students in the community.

This year’s Lions Club Scholarship Car Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 26 at The Commons in the Sears parking lot, next to the Federal Way Farmers Market. The 200 different vehicles on display have the opportunity to win 44 different awards, such as veteran’s choice, ladies choice, teanager’s choice and many others. The three most coveted prizes are Best of the Show, Lion’s Award and People’s Choice.

Award winners will be presented from 3 to 4 p.m.

“There’s all kinds of vehicles,” Lions member Roger Hershey said. “They can be antiques, service type, motorcycles, hot rods and anything in between.”

Attendance is free, but the Lions do request people bring non-perishable food to donate to the food bank. People will also be able to donate blood at the event.

There will be a raffle giving people a chance to win donated items and baskets. New to the event is a special table with coloring sheets for children. All cars are welcome to the show, whether it is brand new or from the 1900s.

The Lions are still looking for judges for the event.
